THE FINER DETAILS

THE FINER DETAILS

  • WHAT'S THE DRESS CODE?
Dress Code: Formal Garden Party We invite our guests to embrace the beauty of a formal garden setting with an elegant dress code. Think light, flowy fabrics, soft colours, and patterns that reflect the charm of the day. For the ladies: Flowing floor-length or tea-length dresses, or tailored jumpsuits in light, breathable fabrics such as chiffon, silk, or tulle. Soft pastel hues and graceful patterns are warmly encouraged, with delicate details like frills, ruffles or embellishments adding a fun, whimsical touch. For the gentlemen: Formal suits paired with a dress shirt, tie, and suit jacket. Soft neutrals and pastels are encouraged, though classic shades like navy or black are also welcome. If you'd like to have a look at some inspiration, please click here. Please note: As the reception ends at 11:00pm, please consider bringing something to keep you warm in case it gets a bit chilly later in the night. To preserve the special nature of the day, we kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing white.
  • WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?
While our wedding will be held outdoors during the summer, it's not uncommon to experience all four seasons in one day. We kindly recommend bringing a jacket in case the temperature drops and encourage you to protect yourself from the sun and stay hydrated. After all, no one enjoys sunburn or heatstroke! There will be plenty of shaded areas, along with sunscreen, fans, and a selection of cold beverages—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, to keep you comfortable on the day. Please note: While there is a dam on the property near the reception area, it is reserved for wildlife and as such, we kindly request that guests refrain from taking a dip to cool off (looking at you, Mitch).
  • CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN OR A PLUS ONE?
As we are planning an intimate celebration with our nearest and dearest, we kindly ask that this be an adults-only event and ask that only those addressed on the envelope attend. We hope that you understand our decision and that this advance notice will allow you to celebrate with us on our special day!
  • HOW DO I GET TO AND FROM THE VENUE?
As there will be alcohol on offer and there are no accommodations nearby, we kindly encourage guests to consider using a ride-sharing service or arranging a designated driver to ensure a safe journey to and from the venue. For those choosing to drive, ample on-site parking will be available at The Corner Paddock, and clear signage will be provided on the day to guide you easily to the parking area.
  • WHAT ABOUT ACCOMMODATION?
Please be advised that there is no accommodation available on-site; however, a variety of hotels and Airbnb options can be found within a 30-minute drive, with Geelong just 20 minutes from the venue. Kindly note that the house on the property will not be accessible to guests, as it is reserved exclusively for suppliers and the bridal party on the day.
  • CAN I TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?
We kindly request that guests refrain from using phones and cameras during the ceremony, allowing our talented photographers and videographers to capture the perfect moments. Once the ceremony concludes, however, we would be delighted if you would capture any special moments we may miss and share them with us!
  • DO I NEED TO BRING A GIFT?
Your presence at our wedding means the world to us, and we are so grateful that you're making the journey to celebrate this special day with us. We understand that weddings can be costly, so please know there is no obligation to give a gift. However, should you wish to honor us with a gift, we will have a wishing well at the reception. Please know that any gesture, no matter the size, will be deeply appreciated, but above all, we will cherish having you with us to celebrate our big day.
  • WHAT IF I HAVE DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
We will have a variety of options to suit all dietary needs. Please let us know of any allergies and/or preferences when submitting your RSVP, so we can ensure everyone is accommodated to.
  • HOW DO I RSVP?
You’ll find an RSVP form at the bottom of this website, where you can respond on behalf of everyone listed on your wedding invitation. Please ensure your RSVP is submitted no later than October 13th, 2025. After this date, we will be finalising numbers with our vendors, and sadly, if we havent recieved your response by this date, we will need to assume that you're unable to attend.
